PROXAR–IIW DC indoor surge protector in silicone casing

Application

PROXAR-IIW DC surge arresters in silicone casing are used for surge protection of DC power systems in the voltage range from 1 kV to 4.7 kV. They are designed in particular for the protection of converters, switchgear, circuit breakers, and traction vehicle equipment. PROXAR-IIW DC can also be used as a component in multi-stage surge protection against multiple lightning strikes and switching surges.

PROXAR-IIW DC limiters are designed for indoor use in temperate and tropical climates, at altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level. Their dimensions allow for installation in DC switchgear with minimum pole spacing. Thanks to its design, this solution does not require any special maintenance other than periodic inspections as part of the maintenance of other devices operating in the installation sites.
